Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs | Book Review

Oh, my God, I cannot believe how much I loved this book! I don’t know how I haven’t read it earlier.

Okay, I do know. I was super scared to start it *hang my head in shame*. I’m just an easily scared person so predictably I didn’t want to read a scary book. It’s just that THE HYPE WAS TOO MUCH! Every review I saw was a positive one and then saying that the second one is better and aahhhhhghhh I caved! And it was

Champion by Marie Lu | Book Rant

(Featured here: All Our Endless Love by The Bird and The Bees ft Matt Berninger. It describes this book perfectly.)

Well that’s not exactly a review, more of a rant, and right at the start I wanna say that this is very SPOILER-Y! Sorry, but I can’t rant and be careful of spoilers so if you want to know what I thought about it without being spoiled then check out my Goodreads review . However it’s a trilogy finale so it’s not a 100% also *shrug*. So…

Why I Stopped Reading John Green's Books But Now I’m Rethinking It

I’m sure there are hipsters out there that read The Fault in Our Stars before all the hype around the movie. Just as I’m sure a lot of people read his previous work before that and decided he’s an instant-buy author, The True Hipsters in my opinion.

Obviously, I’m not one of those. I only knew about TFIOS after

August TBR | Books

Also long overdue :( I’m trying to catch up guys, I swear.

Okay, as you can see I have a pretty ambitious TBR pile here, but unlike most of you I’m still in the middle of my Summer vacation here. I’ll start in October :P

July Book Haul | Books

I am so excited to be showing you this, guys! I've been on a mini book buying ban, just because my TBR bookshelf was full and my large bookshelf plans aren't going anywhere at the moment. So I thought, I'll wait till after Ramadan, I'll have Eideya (Money given by relatives to celebrate the feast), maybe local bookstores would offer a discount. (One did by the way and that was SUPER AWESOME).

First, most of these books

July Wrap Up | Books

Thankfully I managed to read what I had planned as my TBR a couple of weeks ago. It's the first time for me to plan a TBR and work to stick with it and I'm not completely sure I will continue to do it that way. I made my July TBR list my priority even though I changed my mind a couple of times about what I wanted to read next. I'll try to make it more flexible from now on.

So my rating for each one is:
1- Cress                           5*
2- This One Summer             4*
3- The Beginning of Everything    2*
4- Me & Earl & The Dying Girl      3*

If I wrote a review for one of them you'll find them here

This One Summer by Jillian and Mariko Tamaki | Book Review

The artwork deserves a million stars *love struck*. Just WOW!

Given that that was my first experience with a graphic novel, I know I don't have much to compare it to but

When She Woke by Hillary Jordan | Book Review

I've been looking forward to writing this review since I finished the book a couple of months ago. I've been intrigued by this book ever since I saw the synopsis and saw that they COLOUR people as their criminal sentence. Like actually colour their skin in colours that match the intensity of their crime. I mean... WHAT??

Our main character, Hannah, is convicted of murder and so

Ramadan Is Over

That's officially a month of no reading, and (almost) no listening to anything, gone by.

I decided this Ramadan to

My Phases | Books

As most of the people of my generation, it all started with non other the Boy Who Lived. Yup, I think Harry Potter were the first books that I've read that wasn't a school requirement. I've always liked reading the classics assigned by the school (except Great Expectations, what was that?) but Harry Potter started my reading journey.
